About PROMMA

The Professional Mixed Martial Arts Africa Council or PROMMA Africa has been established in November 2010 and registered in 2012 as a Non-Profitable organisation.

It was formed by a group of MMA Instructors/Managers who identified that MMA was not regulated successfully on all levels throughout South Africa.

PROMMA AFRICA’s main objective is to ensure that Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is safely managed and developed on all levels throughout the whole of South Africa as well as African Countries.

PROMMA AFRICA is represented in at least 6 provinces within South Africa and has an international professional and amateur affiliation and sanctioning body for Mixed Martial Arts and has successfully registered with SASCOC through its appointed martial arts body MASA.

PROMMA AFRICA has developed various service offerings to ensure the safe growth of professional MMA Athletes. These services are available to the general public, MMA promoters as well as formal MMA training facilities.

PROMMA AFRICA was specifically established to assist the growth of MMA and every person who are involved or would like to get involved in MMA should register with PROMMA AFRICA.

Irrespective if you are a fighter, promoter, trainer, MMA supporter, MMA Official, MMA enthusiast or even a student trying to find more information on MMA PROMMA AFRICA will assist you. PROMMA AFRICA publish all registered fighters with records, promoters, affiliated clubs, tournaments, rules and results of tournaments which was sanctioned by PROMMA AFRICA on this site.
All amateur sanctioning are done by MASA www.martialartssa.co.za.
PROMMA AFRICA is currently only offering sanctioning for professional MMA tournaments.
